Was going ok until in t4 a critical 'Bring the Pain' was cast on a perfect 27 that my 5 dice failed to match - wiped out my big Swordmasters & BSB. I've been told it's bad form to win your own tournament... ![]()

It basically came down to whether his blade dancers could kill my goblins quickly enough to get into my back line and escape from my chariots. They didn’t. Then I rolled 24 impact hits and it doesn’t really matter if you have a 3+ ward save if you get hit that many times. It kind of summed up the game when in the last turn James charged 30+ dryads into the flank of my lone wolf hero, he failed to do any wounds and I passed my break test.... Cheers for the game James.

Even in two units of 8 a big brother giant and big green idol. Also Shamanism is way more fun. The rest of the Army I think was dreading Monday morning work and had their minds elsewhere ????

It was a really swingy game which for the first half looked as though Andre would win then the luck turned in the last couple of turns. Some highlights (or lowlights). My first dice roll of the game was a triple 5 for the wrecking team which sent it into my gnasher hero killing him instantly. The wrecking team then spent the rest of the game bouncing around aimlessly until T6 when he went straight through Andre’s boar boys wiping them out. We had a giant off and even though I had eleven attack at S7 and only needed to cause 2 wounds I just managed 1 and fled. However, Andre’s axe of the aporcalypse lord 3 times failed to kill my idol thanks to him rolling low on the random strength and the Wyvern not being able to roll poisons and eventually I killed him instead. He also had some terrible dispel rolls, had a scrap wagon that despite charging puny goblins lost more wounds than it caused and failed a key charge which lost him the objective. The last dice roll of the game was a trial of faith on my general and would probably decide whether it was an outright win or a draw (he is worth 625 points). I rolled a 1 and Andre rolled 3 but to be honest it would have been a bit of a tragedy for Andre to lose as he was up for the vast majority of the game. [ Edited Sat May 09 2020, 08:47AM ]
